The Essex Elementary School Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established to provide a channel for parents and members of the community to make tax-deductible contributions for the benefit of Essex Elementary School. Our primary goal is to create a significant endowment to benefit the school. We currently allocate ~5% of assets each year to fund special projects.
Our Mission
The Essex Elementary School Foundation is committed to supporting the strategic vision of Essex Elementary School to become a world-class educational institution. The Foundation is organized to promote and enhance educational excellence by providing independent financial resources for worthy educational projects, enrichment programs, and other educational initiatives.
Projects Funded by the Essex Elementary School Foundation:
- Historian-in-Residence Program
- Scientist-in-Residence program
- Justus W. Paul World Cultures Program
- Literacy Support Material
- Musical, physical education, and audio/visual equipment
- Playground Improvements
- Logical thinking games (Chess, Mindworks)
Your Generous Donations Will Fund These Possible Future Projects:
- In-residence programs for writing, math, literature, art, and geography
- Publishing center
- Weather station
- Closed-circuit TV Station
- Beginning orchestral program
- Traversing wall
Tax-deductable contributions can be made in the following ways:
- Direct cash contributions
- Gifts of appreciated stock
- Matching corporate contributions
- Contributions directed to particular school needs
- Charitable life income arrangements that can increase your income and minimize both income, and estate taxes
- Memorial gifts
- Gifts through your will
