2008 Seniors

Rich M. RB/OLB
Co-Captain

Richie is a 4-year letter winner and a 3 year starter. With over 500 yards rushing in 2007, he returns to Valley/LOL as one of the top playmakers. Richie has the toughness to run inside and the speed to take It outside. Running the ball is only one aspect of his game. Defensively, he has found a home at Outside Linebacker and had several interceptions last season. Play-time is no issue since he fills the role of Punter, Punt Returner and Kickoff Return Player. “Bottom Line”, Richie may not even come off the field!

Ned G. – OT/DT

Ned is a 3 year letter winner and one of the team’s leaders of the Big Dogs!  His strength has helped him become one of the Warriors top Linemen going into the 2008 season.  With his experience, Ned has become a 2-way starter for the Warriors.  The staff is excited about his hard work and dedication over the summer as well as his participation at the Rutgers Football Camp.  The Dog Pound is very happy to have the experience of our Senior Linemen and the staff looks for Ned to have a great season.

Tucker D. – C/DT

The Warrior Football Staff welcomes Tucker back from a season ending injury in 2007. Tucker has worked very hard to return for his senior year. Besides playing Center, he has worked on the Defensive side of the ball at Tackle and he looks to fill a starting role this season. His long snapping skills have made him a good candidate for the special teams. He is another Senior Dog that has helped the Dog Pound with experience and leadership. Tucker attend Rutgers Football Camp this summer.

Wayne B. – WR/DB

Wayne is a 4-year player for the Warriors. He is another one of the playmakers that should help move the ball. Running good routes is one of Wayne’s strongest points and his consistent hands help to round him out as a receiver. As a senior, Wayne leads a group of young and talented receiver. His experience and leadership should help the Warrior Staff on game day.

Ben F. – G/DT

Ben is returning to the Warrior Football Program after a year off. His work in the weight room has improved his strength which should carry-over to the field. His over 400 LB Squat puts Ben right up there as one of the Warriors strongest players. After a good camp, we look for Ben to help the Dogs at Guard and be part of the Defensive Line rotation. Welcome back, Ben!

Chas P. – WR/DB

Chas has been battling at Wide Receiver position and looks to help the Warriors on the Special Teams. Chas is a member of the track team so his speed had been a big plus at his positions. Another 4-year player that brings experience to the receivers group, Chas has been a consistent weight room Warrior over the past 4 years.

Garrick L. – T/DE

It would be hard to find a player that has worked harder over the course of one year than Garrick. The Warrior Staff is very proud of his work ethic. It wouldn’t be shocking to see his name twice in the weight room attendance book each day this summer. Some days he even jogged to the weight room! Garrick has worked at Left Tackle on Offence and D-End on Defense. With a bench press of over 250 LBS, he is able to battle with larger opponents. Garrick also attended Rutgers Football Camp and the Norwich University Leadership Camp. Good luck to Garrick this season.

Jon C. – G/DE

A 4-year player and 3 year letter winner, Jon has worked hard in the weight room over the past 3 years. He was a starter last season at Guard and will provide Dog Pound with more experience and senior leadership this season. Jon is one of those players that you can move to Tackle or Center and feel comfortable about it which is beneficial to the coaching staff leaving options available if team injuries occur. Defensively, the same can be said about Jon on the Line, from Defensive End to D-Tackle or even a Linebacker if needed.

Go Warriors!

Nadrian C. – RB/DB

Nadrian was a late season surprise in 2007 by rushing for many yards in several games and finished ranked 3 rd in rushing. He was a threat on the Kick Return Team by nearly breaking several returns for touchdowns. The Warrior Staff is excited about his playmaking abilities. Nadrian also ran track last season, placed 2 nd in the Shoreline Conference and 6 th at the Class S State Tournament in the 100 M Dash. That speed makes him a threat every time he touches the ball. Defensively, he will work at the D-back position. Nadrian also attended the Rutgers Football Camp this summer.

Leo B. – G/DT

Leo is a 4-year player for the Warriors and looks to work his way into the Dog’s Rotation. Don’t let his size fool you as a Lineman; Leo had an excellent camp showing great quickness off the ball. He is one of those players that just keeps fighting and fighting for the sake of the team. Leo’s strengths are getting down the line, chasing the play down and taking the cut back away. He adds the quickness that you need in passing situations. Leo’s speed should help with Special teams as well.
